Sketching for Science is the result of the last decade of my teaching career. I came to realize that too much of our education is focused on teaching abstract concepts.
Research suggests that approximately 70% of the human brain is devoted to decode visual information. Yet so much of our education revolves around making students listen to abstract information that is difficult to visualize. It's not wonder so many students struggle to connect with the material they are being taught!
